Better Cotton Conference 2025

The annual Better Cotton Conference is back! This year, we’re gathering in the vibrant city of İzmir, Türkiye, bringing together industry leaders, farmers, policymakers and innovators for two days of bold ideas, collaboration and action.

From building a fairer future for farming communities to restoring the environment through climate resilience, regenerative agriculture and biodiversity, we will tackle the industry’s most pressing challenges. We will also explore the power of data – how traceability, digitalisation and real-time insights can drive real impact – while unpacking the evolving policies and partnerships shaping the future of sustainable cotton.

Together, we will uncover how sustainability can be both a business imperative and a catalyst for systemic change. Join us as we push boundaries, challenge the status quo and spark a movement towards a fairer, more resilient and sustainable cotton industry.

Webinar: Phase Out of the Mass Balance On-Product Mark Claim

An Update for Retailer and Brand Members from the Claims Team:

As our Members will likely be aware, legislation governing green claims is requiring the industry to take stock and reflect on how ‘more sustainable’ is defined and how this can be communicated to consumers in a fair and consistent way.

As we move towards allowing a label for products containing Physical (Traceable) Better Cotton, we continue to closely monitor the evolving legislation and work to ensure that our claims offering demonstrates real value to our Members, whilst meeting legislative requirements and expectations of consumers. Informed by a member survey, a consumer research study and some one-on-one consultation with members, the decision has been made to begin to phase out the option to use the Better Cotton mass balance on-product mark in its current form.

This session will cover important information such as timelines, plans for a future label, and your Mass Balance sourcing.
