These third-party Certification Bodies are approved by Better Cotton to conduct audits and assessments to verify compliance with Better Cotton requirements.
Independent Assessment
Independent Assessment is a membership requirement for all Retailer and Brand Members in the ‘Small’, ‘Medium’, ‘Large’ and ‘Very Large’ membership size categories.
‘Very Small’ RB Members do not have to submit an Independent Assessment, unless access to Sourcing Declaration Claims is requested, in line with the Better Cotton Claims Framework.
Chain of Custody Audit
Chain of Custody audits are a requirement for any supply chain stakeholder wishing to source, process and sell Physical Better Cotton.
