We continue to train an ever-growing network in more sustainable farming practices. Not only farmers, but farm workers and all those connected with the growing of cotton.
We have a network of over 50 partners working with farmers on the ground. As a multistakeholder initiative, we work with donors, civil society organisations, governments and other sustainability initiatives too.
With the assistance of these partners, we continue to refine our understanding of the diverse needs of farming communities in order to maximise the impact of our programmes at field level and promote better farming.
Growth is key to our aim of making BCI Cotton a global, mainstream, sustainable commodity. This relies on it being produced at scale, so by 2030 we want to have doubled BCI Cotton production.
We have a 10-year strategy mapped out to transform cotton farming. Five years in, we’re seeing real progress against our impact targets – improving farmer livelihoods, advancing climate resilience and promoting sustainable practices.
The BCI Cotton label is the assurance consumers need that your product contains cotton produced by farmers certified to the BCI Standard.
