We are pleased to announce that the public stakeholder consultation on the revision of the Better Cotton Principles and Criteria (P&Cs) is officially open! From today until 30 September, you can share your inputs on the draft of the proposed P&Cs through our online survey.
The public stakeholder consultation is a key step in ensuring that the P&Cs continue to strike the right balance between sustainability ambitions and feasibility of implementation at field level.
Everyone involved, concerned, or interested in Better Cotton activities is warmly encouraged to take part in our global survey. Your contribution helps us ensure that the needs and aspirations of all stakeholders are adequately represented and that the next version of our farm-level standard remains relevant and effective to drive field-level impact.
We are excited to be opening the revised P&C for public consultation, after many months of collaboration with our technical working groups and other stakeholders. The revised standard supports our 2030 Strategy and focuses on impact, with strengthened expectations around climate change, regenerative agriculture, smallholder livelihoods and decent work. It puts more emphasis on the needs of local farmers and workers and aims to reduce duplicative data and planning requirements.
Visit the portal to find out more about the survey. This is a unique opportunity to help us shape our future standard and drive field-level change! You can also register for one of our upcoming webinars to learn more about the revision process.
