Mandatory Training for Retailers and Brands:
Cotton Consumption and Independent Assessment
October 4, 2022
14:00 - 15:00 (BST)
Better Cotton will be holding two mandatory training webinars for Retailers and Brands only to help you prepare for this year’s annual cotton consumption submission deadline of 15 January 2023. Retailer and Brand Members must recalculate their total fibre consumption measurement each year as part of their Better Cotton Membership.
In the training we will guide you through:
• How to calculate your total cotton fibre consumption measurement
• Sustainable sourcing target setting
• What information needs to be submitted for the annual submission deadline
• Planning ahead for the Independent Assessment requirements, which will apply from January 2024 onwards.
• Q&A
We strongly recommend that you read the guidance documents available in the Measuring Cotton Consumption page of the Better Cotton website in advance of the webinar. The documents explain in full how to calculate your cotton fibre consumption measurement and provide a breakdown of the Independent Assessment requirements.
