2023 Better Cotton Large Farm Symposium
October 11, 2023
12:00 - 14:00 (BST)
Please join the Better Cotton Large Farm community to share best practices and exchange ways to overcome shared challenges. We're looking forward to bringing together cotton growers and partners from six continents to hear success stories from the field and discuss what’s needed to bring about real change.
The symposium will feature a range of exciting speakers, including:
John Kempf, founder of Advancing Eco Agriculture and the host of the Regenerative Agriculture Podcast. John will share his insights from several years in the field studying crop nutrition, his work with regenerative cotton growers, and his conversations with researchers and farmers across the globe.
John Bradley, who has had a successful 45-year career as a research director, consultant, and educator promoting conservation and no-till systems. He started his work in Tennessee where over 75% of the cotton is now no-tilled. His career eventually covered 17 cotton-producing states in the US and 14 countries. He and his wife now raise cattle on their family farm, Spring Valley Farm.
Ilkhom Khaydarov started his career in cotton as a Deputy Director at the State Foreign Trade Company “Uzprommashimpeks” of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relation of Uzbekistan in 1992. After a string of roles in various capacities in the Uzbekistan Government, he now serves as Chairman of the Association of Textile and Garment Industry “Uzbektextileprom” and chairs the Board at Uzbekistan Employers Confederation.
