Better Cotton is excited to be launching revisions of its Claims Framework, Chain of Custody (CoC) Standard and Chain of Custody Monitoring and Assessment Process. These documents serve a pivotal role as part of the Better Cotton Standard System, and their updates will be key in supporting Better Cotton’s transition to a certification scheme, as well as ensuring the new label for Physical (Traceable) Better Cotton is both robust and legislatively compliant.
This latest update presents a comprehensive update to the Claims Framework, which now includes a new suite of claims and the introduction of the label for Physical (Traceable) Better Cotton. Similarly, the CoC update builds on the requirements published in May last year and introduces new obligations for brands wishing to adopt the Better Cotton label.
The public consultation is now live and is expected to conclude on 30 November 2024. Better Cotton invites feedback from all parties to shape the next versions of these critical documents.
