Better Cotton is grown in 22 countries around the world and accounts for 22% of global cotton production. In the 2022-23 cotton season, 2.13 million licensed Better Cotton Farmers grew 5.47 million tonnes of Better Cotton.

Field Trip for Retailer & Brand Members:
Turkey
October 11, 2022 - October 12, 2022
Retailer and Brand Members are invited to the October 2022 Better Cotton Turkey Field Trip sponsored by Calik Cotton.
During this exciting 2-day trip, you will have the opportunity to explore cotton production directly and transparently at the field level:
- Meet with farmers to hear their experiences from the latest cotton season
- Learn from Better Cotton’s Programme Partners about how the Better Cotton Standard System is implemented in Turkey
- Gain an understanding of how cotton moves through the early stages of the supply chain through guided ginner and spinner visits
- Network with Better Cotton partners and other Retailers and Brands on the trip.
Logistics:
- Attendees should book flight tickets by themselves to Sanliurfa GAP Airport. Please notify your Better Cotton main contact once booked.
- Attendees must arrive at Sanliurfa a day before the trip (by Monday 10 October 2022).
- All lodging reservations are the responsibility of the participant, including any necessary cancellations. Hotel suggestions can be shared upon registration.
- A tourism guide is provided for participants wishing to extend their visit to include sightseeing in this fascinating area of Turkey.
