BCI Partner Field Trip: Australia | 9-10 April, 2019

Location: Macquaire Valley, New South Wales, Australia

BCI’s partner Cotton Australia, invited BCI Members to Camp Cotton 2019. The trip included a visit to two cotton farms and a cotton gin, presentations from world leading cotton scientists and a roundtable discussion about all things cotton.

BCI Field Trip: Turkey | 23-24 September, 2019

Location: Izmir, Turkey

Date: 23 – 24 September, 2019

Guests joined the Better Cotton Initiative and partner IPUD for a field trip in Turkey. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about cotton production, ginning activities and the implementation of the Better Cotton Standard in Turkey.

BCI Field Trip: USA | 6-7 November, 2019

Location: Memphis, Tennessee, USA

Date: 6 – 7 November, 2019

Guests joined BCI for a visit to a cotton farm and gin. During the tour attendees had the opportunity to learn about local cotton production and the implementation of the Better Cotton Standard System in the US. BCI also hosted its annual 2019 US Meeting, which provided attendees with updates about BCI’s progress in the US and around the world.

BCI Field Trip: India | 19-21 November, 2019

Location: Ahmedabad, India

Date: 19-21 November, 2019

BCI Members had the opportunity to visit cotton farms and meet farmers, ginners and other supply chain actors in the textile value chain in India. Participants received a thorough explanation of the Better Cotton Standard System and cotton farming systems in India, while also exploring the journey of cotton from field to end product. Attendee also learnt how Better Cotton is grown, harvested and ginned.
