Past BCI Field Trips 2018

Location: Lubbock, Texas, USA
On Thursday, you are invited to join BCI for a visit to a West Texas cotton farm and gin. During the tour you will have the opportunity to learn about local cotton production and the implementation of the Better Cotton Standard System in the US.
On Friday, BCI will host its annual 2018 US Meeting, which will provide you with updates about BCI’s progress in the US and around the world. You will have the opportunity to network with BCI Members from across the cotton supply chain. Non-members are also welcome to attend.
Price: $55 USD per person for Field Trip and complimentary attendance to the US Meeting.

Location: Korla, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China
During the BCI Field Trip in Korla, you will:
- Visit cotton fields to explore cotton production and the implementation of the Better Cotton Standard
- Speak with local licensed BCI Farmers and experience the changes in field
- Visit a local cotton gin
- Meet with representatives from retailers, brands and textile companies.

BCI Pakistan Field Trip: 10 October, 2018

Location: Matiari, Pakistan
We are delighted to invite you to the BCI Pakistan Field Trip 2018. This Field Trip will allow you to interact with BCI Farmers while learning how the Better Cotton Standard System is implemented at field-level, and how its having a positive impact on farmer livelihoods. You will also have the opportunity to visit a nearby ginning factory to see how ginners implement the Better Cotton Chain of Custody.

Price: 40 USD or 5,000 PKR per participant. This fee can be paid locally in Pakistan.
BCI India Field Trip: 27 – 29 November 2018

Location: Wardha, Maharashtra, India
We invite our BCI Members to join us on a comprehensive BCI Field Trip to Maharashtra, India. Participants will visit cotton farms and meet licensed BCI Farmers, ginners and other actors at the source of Better Cotton production. Participants will receive a thorough explanation of the Better Cotton Standard System, cotton farming in India, and the journey cotton takes from field to end product. You’ll also learn about how Better Cotton is grown, harvested, and ginned, and you’ll have an opportunity to see cotton growing in the field.
